Make all your Relationships Authentic – 18 Sept 6.15-7.30pm Kundalini Yoga @ Prana Lounge, Colombo 7

We now know that our real soul mate is when we connect deeply with our spirit. Once we can feel our spirit, we can then start to bring that clear, real relationship we have with our self into relating with others.

The problem is that our relationships with our friends, partners, colleagues, students, etc. are always in a state of change. They are very complex. We need to keep a clear relationship with ourselves so we can extend that out through our electromagnetic field when we deal with others.  This is called having an authentic relationship.  Relationships even ones filled with conflict we deal with through integrity, kindness, intuitive intelligence  and neutrally.  You always express love, your authenticity  and your soul,  as opposed to your projected fears and defences that are provoked during challenging circumstances.

Now think of a time in your life when you felt the most authentic and your core self? What do you look, sound and feel like? With whom do you feel you can be yourself without feeling judged? How do you recognise an authentic relationship verses an inauthentic one where you have something to gain from displaying particular behaviour.

Yogi bhajan says, “ Relationship is nothing but a totally extended experience of self”.

For me being authentic is saying what I mean and following through with my words.  I have had to start being more careful with how I relate to people through my speech. Not just saying empty words to fill the time , or making empty promises to please people. I strive to hold the relationship with myself  consciously, not to let myself down or anyone else down. To face relationships evening challenging ones with  love first over projected fears and defences that are provoked by circumstances and act neutrally, from my soul.

The Practice

One Minute Breath: Tune in with Ong Namo, Guru Dev Namo 3-5x. Sit with a straight spine. Inhale deeply for 20 seconds, hold for 20 seconds, exhale for 20 seconds. You may start with 10 seconds and build up.  Even if you do this for 3 mins it can really get you back in touch with the true, authentic self.

Please join us for special workshop on relationshps which will be taught by two wonderful visiting teachers Sri Lanka from China  Satmukh Singh and Sat Sarbat Kaur. See below for some background on the these two lovely teachers.

SAT SARBAT KAUR

Sat Sarbat is a KRI certified Kundalini Yoga teacher and teacher trainer who expanded her knowledge by following several other training around Yogi Bhajan’s teachings, such as Sat Nam Rasayan Healing, Numerology, Conscious Pregnancy, and Children Yoga.
She met Yogi Bhajan in 2001 and was deeply touched.
Since then, she has been teaching the KY teacher training Level 1 in Austria, France and started to teach it in Asia in 2011. She has taught in the Level 2 module on Conscious Relationships for the Kundalini Yoga school ANS in Europe and since 2012 is part of the international team of ANS level 2 teachers.

SATMUKH SINGH

Satmukh Singh’s connection with Asia started in 2006 when he came to Shanghai to learn Chinese! As a certified Ashtanga yoga (attested by Yoga Alliance) and Kundalini yoga teacher (attested by the Kundalini Research Institute ), he started to teach regular classes in Kunming (Yunnan) and then moved to Dali to create a Kundalini Yoga Center, and Yoga-Gaia which aimed at promoting Kundalini yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan in China.
Satmukh Singh travels regularly between Europe and Asia to propose various Kundalini yoga workshops, and also organize and teach in Kundalini yoga teacher training (France, Austria, China, Australia). He also designs and develops creative Kundalini Yoga programs in the mountains as Yogatiltude to bring participants from different backgrounds and cultures into an individual transformative process within a group.
A Pauri of the Japji Sahib illustrates his motivation and inspiration to teach around the world and especially around China: Ai panthi sagal jamati man jitai jag jit. Make the all humanity your spiritual family; conquer your own mind, and you will conquer the world.
